A bridge made of music and passion
In 2011 we started a cultural and musical project between the city of Casalgrande (RE) and the city of Asbury Park (NJ)
The American town is famous as the musical birthplace of Bruce Springsteen, the world famous singer songwriter who has been an international rock icon for over thirty years. Asbury Park is less than one hour from New York City, and looks out onto the Atlantic ocean from the heart of the Jersey Shore.
Casalgrande is a small town in the heart of Emilia, a fertile land of good food, healthy work and above all music. And it is the musical culture of Casalgrande, ever lively and ready to create opportunities for talents both great and small, that has embraced the American bandwagon lead by the icon Springsteen. Casalgrande is the birthplace of the Rocking Chairs, the soloist Graziano Romani and where Luciano Ligabue’s music turned to Rock when he called up the ex Rocking Chairs to join his band.
It was Casalgrande that created the first rehearsal rooms, which went on to be used by a host of rock artists, from Elliot Murphy to the Modena City Ramblers, Willy Deville, Dave Alvin, The Gang and many Others.
