I’m leaving the Summer Greetings up because I’m not quite ready to welcome fall. I love this time of year on the shore. We had an amazing summer season and I want to thank all our visitors who made that happen. However, it is quiet now and the beach and ocean are a wonderful source of comfort. We want to also thank Mother Nature for great weather. Low gas prices also fueled the influx of visitors this summer. Asbury Park’s beach revenues were up 37% on top of a 26% increase in 2014. That’s a 61% over the last two years! HUGE! Things are very good in Asbury Park. We are all grateful for all your support! Continua a leggere
Another beautiful summer weekend with much needed rain interruptions. It was a record breaking summer all the way around. Mother Nature blessed us with great weekends, gasoline prices were low, and people were staying close to home and spending more. Our beach revenues were up 38% during the season on top of a 26% increase in 2014. HUGE! All our efforts to improve and promote our beaches over the past 14 years finally kicked in. Asbury Park is back but will be challenged to now management that success. It’s what we all hoped for. Only in Asbury Park! Continua a leggere
Have you noticed any changes in local traffic this summer? We all have. The increase in visitors this year is significant and impressive. I have never seen so many people on our beaches. This year our season beach badge sales increased by 11%. It’s a wonderful sight. And it’s not only on the beaches. Our downtown is also experiencing an influx of visitors. We are all very proud to be part of all this new activity. Only in Asbury Park! Continua a leggere

The Fireworks were hailing over Little Eden last weekend!
Turn back the clock! Last weekend reminded us of all the good times in Asbury Park when we were growing up. The beaches were packed and the boardwalk was the place to be. The fireworks on Saturday night were the best show on the Jersey Shore – special thanks to iStar Residential for making that happen. It is so exciting and heartwarming to know the city is back and growing again. HUGE! Very cool! Only in Asbury Park! Continua a leggere

Another great weekend! The awful weather predictions last week for Sunday never arrived and it turned out to be a beautiful Father’s Day after all. Appropriately, it was also the start of summer! I took it pretty easy and did some overdue gardening. Patti and I ended our day with dinner at the Biergarten listening to PJ Rasmussen, an amazing young jazz musician. Only in Asbury Park!
