Sorry to keep sending you another email but as you can see from the earlier blasts, there is a ton of very cool things to do in Asbury Park this weekend. On top of all that it looks like we are finally going to get one of those great Asbury Park beach weekends.
In yesterday morning’s blast, I mentioned that I showed up on the wrong night for their Grand opening of Kur Wellness Studios. Well I also gave you the wrong web site address. The correct one is www.kurstudios.com . The place is really cool and instantly popular. Make sure you check it out.
Here’s some additional information about Sunday’s AP Homeowners Association House Tour. The hours are 11:00am to 4:00pm. There are 10 homes on the Tour including stops at Wesley Grove, The Vive and some classic colonials and very cool Grand Victorians. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of the event. Advance tickets are being sold at The ShowRoom 707 Cookman Avenue, America’s Cup 633 Cookman Avenue and Asbury Rostery 803 2nd Avenue. On Saturday, there will be a table at the Sunset Farmers Market on Main Street between Sunset and Fifth Avenues selling tickets from 8:00am to 1:00pm. You can order tickets online at www.rueevents.com . If you can find me, I also have some tickets. On Sunday there will be a table set up at City Hall in the Municipal Parking Lot selling tickets. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Asbury Park Youth: Scholarships and Summer Programs.
The First Annual “Ride the Wave” Day – an afternoon of yoga fitness and fun to benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County on the green space located at 4th Avenue on the boardwalk, 12:00pm to 2:00pm. to register go to: https://asburyparkwaterfront.com/RideTheWave/ .
Paranormal Books & Curiosities celebrates their 7th Anniversary this Saturday. WOW! Congratulations to owner Kathy Kelly. Paranormal is now hosting the Ghosts & Legends Walking Tour in Asbury Park every Friday & Saturday. In July they will be adding tours on Thursdays and Sundays. Kathy emailed me yesterday that she has now had 10,000 people on her tours. HUGE!
Steven Brunner of the Asbury Park Beautification Project teamed up with members of the AP Environmental and Shade Tree Commission during their Wednesday Greening to provide maintenance and replanting to the beautiful planters on the boardwalk. They really did a great job. Make sure you check them on your next stroll. Only in Asbury Park!
Yesterday, I mentioned the Lakehouse Music Academy’s Adult Big Gig will take place at the Wonder Bar on Saturday. What I forgot to mention is AP Fire Chief, Kevin Keddy will be taking the stage at 5:30 and at 6:00 will be teaming up with local legend Hunt Parry. Not to be missed!
Hopefully, you will come early on Saturday and catch some rays on our beautiful beaches and then head downtown for Asbury Underground and catch some awesome music. Only in Asbury Park!
Hope to run into this weekend.
Thank you for supporting Asbury Park businesses.
Wishes for a warm, sunny, wonderful spring weekend,
